Looking back at 'What Makes an Effective Trailer' post, I remembered that I have seen the Carrie movie prank which is a great way of promoting their film. This has been inspired by the famous prom scene in 'Carrie (1976)' as the teenage girl during her prom gets humiliated and expresses her anger through her telekinetic powers. This prank that an group of people had put together worked well and shocked the public in the coffee shop. By this it has created awareness for the new remake of Carrie (2013) and this method of promotion as got the public involved which makes it more personal and fun. This prank video had then gone viral over the internet and has reached 48 million+.
